The Nun Study
This Web site contains research information about the incredible results from The Nun Study. This was a study begun more than a decade ago by David Snowdon, Ph.D. With the cooperation of School Sisters of Notre Dame, he was able to conduct intensive research into the causes and possible prevention of Alzheimer's Disease. Read about the astounding things that were learned, in particular about the possible prevention of this devastating disease. This Web site also includes information about the Nun Study, including summaries of research publications. Dr. Snowdon's book, Aging with Grace, What the Nun Study Teaches Us About Leading Longer, Healthier, and More Meaningful Lives was also recently published. It includes research results and also introduces us to some of the Sisters of Notre Dame, who so selflessly made this research possible.
