Departments/Services
Aging
Serves as the Upper Peninsula Area Agency on Aging (AAA), designated in 1974. The AAA provides advocacy, planning, and services to the elderly of the 15 counties of the Upper Peninsula. The AAA operates a Senior Help-line which provides information and assistance throughout the region.

Long-Term Care
Operates care management and home and community-based long-term care programs throughout the Upper Peninsula. These programs provide long-term care in a home-based setting as opposed to an institutional setting.

Community Corrections
Serves as the administrator for the West-Central Upper Peninsula Community Corrections Program. The program operates in six counties of the western-Upper peninsula. The program provides community-based alternative sentencing for non-violent offender.

Housing
Provides technical assistance to communities and non-profit organizations in developing elderly and government subsidized housing options. Also serves as a management agent for several multi-family housing projects located in the Upper Peninsula.

County Government
Serves as administrator for the Upper Peninsula Association of County Commissioners (UPACC). Develops and plans two major conferences per year and provides on-going technical assistance to county commissioners upon request.
